The ABCs of Salvation
A - Admit your need.
"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" Romans 3:23.
This means that we have all fallen short or don't measure up to the glory of God. Therefore, something must be done about it. And Jesus did it all at the cross. Therefore we must recognize and admit our need for the saving power of Jesus Christ.
B - Believe that Christ died for you.
"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved" Acts 16:31
Recognizing what Christ did is not enough, we must believe it. In other words, we must reject our sins and believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins. And then...
C - Commit yourself to Christ
"But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God" John 1:12
Being truly sorry for your sins and, through the power of Christ, forsaking them and turning from them, going forth to live for Christ. He will give forgiveness, power, victory, purpose and life eternal! God knows your heart and is not so concerned with your words as He is with the attitude of your heart. He wants to come into your life and make you a new person with purpose.
The following is a suggested prayer:
"Lord Jesus, I need You. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of the throne of my life. Make me the kind of person You want me to be."
Does this prayer express the desire of your heart?
If it does, I invite you to pray this prayer right now, and Christ will come into your life, as He promised.
Please don't miss it. Ask God into your life today.
